In the previous part about green financing, we presented the importance and topicality of the issue of green investments. However, you can get financial support for sustainable projects not only in the form of loans or bonds, but also in the form of subsidies from public sources, or a combination of them.
European and national subsidies will be used to finance projects in the field of sustainability
Investment plans that will move the company to new opportunities in the field of sustainable business, the introduction of cost-saving measures that will reduce the company's carbon footprint or water consumption, or innovations in the field of waste management that will lead to the careful management of natural resources. These steps will not only strengthen your business and secure its place in the transforming European economy, but will also improve your ESG score and competitiveness. The European Union, which provides public funding in the form of subsidies, views it similarly.
The numbers speak for the importance of sustainable transformation, as part of the revival of the European economy, an extensive NextGenerationEU plan was prepared, thanks to which additional resources were directed to the Czech Republic to help revive and transform the Czech economy. In total, a historic sum of 960 billion crowns will go to the Czech Republic in combination with EU structural funds.
Thanks to this, a rich range of subsidy options in the area of sustainability for entrepreneurs is offered at the national level. The State Environment Fund offers subsidy options within the National Recovery Plan, the Modernization Fund or the Just Transformation Operational Program.
As a concrete example of a subsidy for use, we can cite a new call from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. As part of the Operational Program Technology and Applications for Competitiveness (OP TAK), 3.7 billion crowns have been prepared for entrepreneurs. These challenges are focused on promoting a low-carbon economy, efficient use of resources and renewable energy sources.

You don't have to be alone for subsidies

Familiarizing yourself with legislation, current subsidy opportunities, assessing whether you are eligible for green finance - all this takes a great deal of time and effort. Thanks to our partnership with ČSOB, we are taking green financing to a higher level.
The ČSOB EU Center, which has 16 years of experience with EU subsidies, more than 1,000 projects in a row, and the success rate of subsidy applications for sustainability projects is 99%.
ČSOB EU Center and ČSOB Advisory offer the following advisory services:
Subsidy audit. You will receive a free preliminary assessment of the planned project in terms of the possibility of using subsidies from the EU Structural Funds, national programs or community programs of the European Commission.
Application processing. Your application will be further processed if your project has been shown in the subsidy audit to be suitable for the allocation of a subsidy from EU funds or another program. In most cases, the processing itself is payable in the form of a commission, which you will pay in the event of a successful grant.
Subsidy management. ČSOB EU Center will also provide support during the project. When implementing the project, you must fulfill a whole range of administrative and procedural conditions and binding project indicators set by the grant provider. The aim of this service is to ensure that the promised subsidy is paid in full to your account and thus minimize the risk of its reduction or non-payment.

A number of actors providing financing for sustainable projects require essential data about your business from the point of view of sustainability. Within our platform, which uses artificial intelligence and robust data, we process for you a wide range of inputs that are often necessary to obtain funding from such institutions. We follow EU Taxonomy and ESRS standards and adapt the results to the formal requirements of the funder. In addition, within our platform, you can perform all the necessary calculations and monitor and manage your environmental impact in the long term. Thanks to Green0meter, mandatory reporting will be much easier.
You can thus obtain all the necessary data tailored to your specific business processes and needs in combination with suitable financing options. In addition, ČSOB clients will receive a calculation of the company's carbon footprint in Scope 1 and 2 completely free of charge - and seven-day demo access to our platform is a matter of course.
